Origin distribution:

Native to Florida, USA, to Carolina. Introduced and cultivated in South China.

Morphological characteristics:

Stand upright, cylindrical, with rings. Leaves palmately rounded or semiorbicular, deeply lobed, lobes numerous, leathery and tough, distally 2-lobed. Panicles are extracted from the leafhoppers. Small flowers, yellow-green. Flowering from May to July.

Growth habits:

Hi sunshine. More cold-resistant, can withstand a short temperature of -2 degrees. Strong wind resistance. Hi fertile soil, but also resistant to thin sandy soil.

Reproduction method:

Use sowing to breed.

Landscape use:

The tan brown is beautifully shaped and can be used as a street or tree shade tree in gardens.

Flowers are a good source of honey. Fruit can be used as feed. Undeveloped young shoots can be used as vegetables. The growing blades can be used for building rain cover and can also be used for weaving.
