Five key measures for bergamot potted plants

The bergamot is a variant of the wolfberry and is a citrus fruit flower. The phenomenon that bergamots do not bloom or bloom is not a result, and the results are not universal. The author now describes the five key measures in the practice of conservation management as follows.

1. To promote the vegetative growth of seedlings, so that they become early plants. In the second and third years of spring, when the basin is changed, the cake fertilizer, the hoops, and the bone powder are used as base fertilizers. At the same time, a plastic trimming is performed. The main stem is cut off by 15 cm, and 3 to 5 buds are left behind to promote the growth of the buds and enlarge the canopy. When newly grown to 5 to 8 centimeters, it is picked up to the top buds and lateral buds to develop a certain tree shape and promote its early entry into the result period.

2. For bergamot hi acidic soils, the PH value should be kept at 5.3; the ratio of basin soil is 60% for humus, 30% for river sand, and 10% for peat or furnace ash. The thin fertilizer can be applied once every ten days and a half months. Water is easy to rot, should take a test method of watering, pot soil surface do not dry, once drenched throughout the year.

3. The optimum humidity for bergamot is 70% to 90%. For this purpose, spray water to the leaves one or two times a day in the dry season, or spray water on the ground to increase the air humidity. The suitable temperature for the bergamot is 15 to 30°C. During the high temperature season, it should be moved to a cool, ventilated and shady place. When the temperature is lower than 5°C, it must be kept cold.

4. It is not easy for bergamot to set fruit, and various methods should be used to promote its fruit setting. During the buds, before flowering, and after flowering, topdressing organic fertilizer should be followed, and a thin organic liquid fertilizer should be applied once a week. Then the sparse buds, deformed buds, and weak buds must be spayed. They cannot leave too many buds. They can only stay close to the best two or three buds at the top of the branches. They cannot ask for excessive fruit set.

5. Bergamotes are prone to yellow leaf disease and leaf shedding. Yellow leaf disease can be watered with 1% ferrous sulfate solution. If rot roots are to be immediately turned over, take the plants out of the basin and rinse the roots, remove the rot, disinfect and plant them in a sterile sandy soil for conservation, so that it can be gradually restored to life.
